HINES, Victor "George"
HINES, Victor "George" - 50, Victoria, B.C. formerly of Dartmouth, passed away suddenly on December 24, 2005, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Victor and Hilda (Cooley) Hines. He was a journeyman carpenter by trade and well-known throughout the field. He is survived by his children, Melissa LaPointe, Lawrencetown; Melanie and David, Cole Harbour; granddaughter, Jasmine LaPointe; brothers, John (Heather) Cole Harbour, Peter (Nadine) Chezzetcook; Michael, Victoria, B.C.; sisters, Rebecca (Ernest) Smith, Montreal and Jo-Ann Sagar, Tatamagouche. He was predeceased by brother, Douglas. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends in Dartmouth and Victoria. No visitation. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in Pope John XXIII Church, Cole Harbour.

He will be truly missed by all the hearts he touched and remembered for his bright friendly smile and loving heart in helping friends in need. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation in George's memory.
